The Annual Spring Book Sale is the Friends of JMRL’s primary fundraiser. Proceeds from this annual event benefit the Jefferson-Madison Regional Library’s programs and facilities. All of the books sold are donated by members of our communities. The annual book sale is truly a Charlottesville treasure!
Educators Day: April 9, 10am-6pm
(Contact the Friends for details)
Up to $50 worth of educational materials (at half-price value) free to teachers, homeschooling parents, and social service agencies. The option to purchase materials beyond the $50 limit will be available on that day. Certification of instructional or organizational status will be requested.
The dates of the sale have been arranged so that the sale coincides with the local schools’ spring break. Sale patrons will be able to park at Venable School on weekdays.
A giant thanks to everyone who helped with the 2011 Spring Sale! This includes not only the corps of volunteers who help throughout the year and the larger pool who help at the sale. Gratitude is also extended to the many people who donate such fabulous material in such great quantities and to all of our customers whose purchases help support the programs and projects of the library system. We made $115,211, bringing the total for the fall and spring sales to $210,272. This is the first time to have broken the $200K milestone.
